Alice is Italy's largest pizza chain, and ranks amongst the 50 Top World Artisan Pizza Chains. Founded in Rome in 1989 by Domenico Giovannini, it has grown to more than 230 sites across Italy and internationally, including Hong Kong, France, Austria, Spain, Malta and the USA. Alice makes Roman pizza al taglio — baked in trays through the day, sold by the slice — lighter and crispier than the traditional recipe, in over 70 varieties.
Our Investment
Capdesia acquired 100% of Alice Pizza S.p.A in August 2026 together with Quadrivio & Pambianco's Italian Lifestyle Fund II (as co-lead) and other co-investors including Pergolesi, a vehicle controlled by CVC. With Alice, Capdesia marks its first investment in Italy and plans to support the brand’s continued expansion both domestically and internationally.
